Utilization Review RN

Velarity HCS is hiring experienced Utilization Review RN’s for remote contract opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience Utilization Review experience in inpatient hospital setting (required).
  • Active RN license – Compact/Multistate designation (preferred).
  • ASN/ADN Required, BSN (preferred).
  • Experience in Prior Authorizations, Concurrent Reviews, Retrospective Reviews, or Appeals and Denials.
  • Proficiency with various hospital EMR systems (i.e. Epic, Allscripts, Meditech, Cerner, Xsolis, etc.), and InterQual and/or MCG guidelines).
  • Proficiency in InterQual and/or MCG/Milliman criteria (Required).

Social Worker – Traveler

Velarity HCS is hiring travel Social Workers for 13-week contract opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of Social Work experience in inpatient hospital setting. Combination of LTAC, STACH, hospice, homecare, and/or health plan experience will be considered.
  • MSW Required. LMSW or LCSW (preferred).
  • Proficiency with various hospital EMR systems (i.e. Epic, Allscripts, Meditech, Cerner, Xsolis, etc.).

Cancer Registrar

Velarity HCS is seeking full & part-time cancer registrars with their ODS-C to join our award‑winning team.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of cancer registry abstracting experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with multiple EMR’s and Registry Software (Metriq, CRStar, and more).
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills - verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with standard-setters’ abstracting guidelines.
  • Knowledge of CoC accreditation standards, SEER, and NCI (preferred).

Trauma Registrar

Velarity HCS is seeking experienced full & part-time Trauma Registrars to join our award‑winning team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of trauma registry abstracting experience in a hospital setting.
  • Certified Trauma Registrar (CSTR) or CAISS preferred).
  • Proficiency with EMR and trauma registry software (e.g., ESO, Image Trend, V5, or Trauma Base).
  • Strong knowledge of NTDS (National Trauma Data Standard) and TQIP definitions.
  • Familiarity with ACS Trauma Center verification standards is a plus.

RN Case Manager – Traveler

  • Minimum 2+ years of medical coding experience; inpatient facility, outpatient, professional fee, ED, or specialty coding experience all considered.
  • Active CPC, CCS, CCS-P, COC, or equivalent AAPC/AHIMA credential required.
  • Strong command of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines with working knowledge of MS-DRG and/or APC methodologies.
